ColdButterPastry [rule] v1.0.0

For flaky pastry (pie crust, croissant, puff pastry, biscuits), butter must remain below its melting point (~32°C / 90°F) throughout mixing. Cold butter creates discrete pockets of fat in the dough; these pockets steam during baking, puffing layers apart. Warm or melted butter blends into the flour, producing a mealy or bready texture instead of a flaky one.
